ICTS in school
ICTs are everywhere with the revolution of technology, they can be found in your home, work, hospital and even your school. That brings us to what we are talking about today, ICTs in school. ICTs in school can come in all shapes and sizes, some being more useful than others. Now I’m going show you, some of the ICTs there:
-Laptop: A laptop can be used by the students or the teachers, they can be used to look up information that can’t be accessed and to work.
-Tablet: A tablet, like the laptop, can be used by the student or teacher. They can be used to work and look up information that can’t be accessed easily.
-PC: A PC is a faster and sometimes better than a laptop and a tablet. They can be used to work on projects and look up information, although this one isn’t as portable as the former two.
-Television: A television can be used to watch something and/or connect to the outside world. They may be used to watch the news, or to show something from the TV.
-Internet: The internet is a basic thing for school now, so it doesn’t really have to be explained…but I will anyways. The internet can be used to connect to the outside world to be informed about what’s happening, be it either informational or for plain fun.
-Search engines: They are the software that allows people to look up for content in in the internet.
-Applications (Apps): They are the software that allow people to access specific things, these have icons so that they are easier to find. They can be purchased or be for free.
-USB: This is a hardware device that stores up information. It can be transported easily and placed into any hardware (ex. PC) to show the stored up information.
In conclusion, as I said in the beginning, ICTs are everywhere, and they can come in different shapes and sizes for different uses. ICTs need to be recognized so that we know what they are and what they do, which was the main point of this project.
